Family Pictures 2010

We had some family pictures taken last week and just got them back! I think they turned out pretty cute :) Of course there are more of the rugrat too!!!

Avery O'Neille is 6 Months Old!!!

Today Avery's Grandma Flora surprised us by taking Avery to get her pictures taken! She told me to pick out a cute outfit and to be ready to go by 3:00pm. I wasn't sure what the future had in store! I had her ready in her cute overalls and grandma picked out the cute baby doll pink outfit! I would have to say our little Avery had quite a successful photo shoot! Thanks for the great surprise Grandma Flo :)

Her check-up stats from this week were as follows...

15 pounds 6 1/2 ounces
25 1/2 inches long
40.8 head circumference

We Miss You Already...

Today is a sad day for the Ireland family... Our best friends are moving away for at least a year, probably longer! We just wanted to tell Steve, Nikki and Kate that we love you, hope you have fun on your adventure, and that WE MISS YOU ALREADY! We can't wait to hear all about South Africa...And Avery wants you to bring her a giraffe when you come home for Christmas!







And YES, I am crying again... Sheesh!

Watch My Corn Pop Up In Rows...

Since I have married Chris, I have discovered many "hidden talents" that I did not know he had. He is an artist, a woodworker, a cook, a car buff (that one i knew before we got married) and he is a gardener/farmer :) Last summer he planted a garden and things just didn't go the way he had hoped. He decided he wanted another go at it and using what he had learned from last year, he made some improvements. First improvement, an electric fence. Second improvement, brought in better dirt, third improvement, bought more cages for the tomato plants. I have to say I am pretty darn impressed with Chris's garden! He has worked so hard and his hard work is finally paying off!

First, pictures from April when he first planted the garden...








This is about a month after the first photos we took. At this point we hadn't had much yielding yet, but the plants had finally taken off! It is a matter of time, rain and sunshine to help these little plants grow into yummy food for our table!












This is the latest round of garden pictures taken on 6/11/10. Notice how tall the corn has gotten and that the tomato plants are starting to produce now as well. The peas, lettus and pepper plants have already been on our table for delicious dinners. I love fresh produce from our very own garden! Chris, you sure are a great farmer! Thanks for all of your hard work!








Chris planted me some strawberry plants. Every time a strawberry got ripe and just about ready to eat, something had gotten to it. We were sure it wasn't a rabbit, or any other creature of that size because of the electric fence. BUT, without fail, every time a strawberry was ripe, there were little bite marks. So then we thought, "Well, maybe it is a bird, something that the fence wouldn't be able to keep out." We had to figure it out. Then, last week we figured out who had been eating my strawberries.... This cute little fellow! It's hard to be upset with a face as cute as that! He can have all the strawberries he wants :) Needless to say, it's probably the ONLY creature that could make it through Chris's fence!

5 Month Celebration...

Avery was so excited to turn 5 months this week! She decided that she wanted to be a big girl and get a big girl sickness. So, she set out and got herself a nice case of pneumonia! She started her morning off with a cute little cough that quickly turned into a deep flem filled cough. Next, she decided to run a 102.5 temperature on tylenol. Lastly, she got an x-ray that confirmed she was granted her birthday wish of pneumonia. Here are some pictures of her 5 month birthday celebration :) Let's hope she enjoyed this months celebration so much that she NEVER wants to be a big girl again! She has been sleeping constantly for the past 2 days... This is the sad face this morning before we went to the doctor... The first nebulizer treatment at home... This is how she was after 2 rounds of the nebulizer! She is already feeling SO much better! The albuterol medicine actually made her super hyper! It is kind of funny because she's been so tired since she got sick! I'm glad my happy baby is returning!
